Timetable font - installation
Problem description
When installing the font Timetable may under certain circumstances cause problems, which in most cases consist in the fact that the marks are displayed incorrectly or that when you try to print the explanatory of marks then from the printer starts to print a blank sheets of paper, etc.
This behavior was observed only in cases when the font was previously installed on your system. If this is the initial installation of the font, then the problem would not appear.
Workaround
For installing the Timetable font we recommend to use the following procedure:
- Start IDOS and load any timetable.
- In menu View (Zobrazit) select option Marks (Značky).
- In the dialog that appears set the option to value "bold" (tučně).
- End the application IDOS.
- Perform manual removal Timetable font from the system (ie via Control Panel/Fonts remove the font).
- If you will not find the font Timetable in Control Panel or if it is not avalable for remove (see below), then we recommend to use any file manager to look into folder Windows\Fonts\ (this is the Windows system folder, so it can be hidden by the system and it is necessary to enable display of system folders), find the file TT.TTF and manually remove (delete) it. If that folder contains files of type "tt0142m_.ttf" or similar names starting with the letters TT, we recommend to remove these files too. If while removing the font some error message appears about that the font is not removed, it is necessary to restart the system, to release the font from memory, and do this removal after the restart.
- After removing the font is recommended to reboot the system (in order to guarantee that the font is not loaded in memory - this reboot is important).
- Install the font Timetable (whether running TTFont.exe or manually through Control Panel - unpack the ZIP file first).
- Now you can return the settings on the above dialogue in its original settings (to the option "font Timetable" - písmo Timetable).
In the case that it is a primary installation of this fonts in the system, so should be sufficient to perform only step 8
