System description
The application at http://www.cd.cz/spojeni/ allows searching for connections using any trains of Czech Railways. For selected train routes, it is possible to pre-reserve a seat, a sleeper seat or a bed, purchase a ticket, or locate the train (delay).
The Connection Finder is a modified application of the search engine used by the IDOS web service respecting the specifics and requirements of Czech Railways (i.e. the search results offer only trains of Czech Railways and their contractual carriers).
The Connection Finder application is visually and functionally linked to other partial applications of the České dráhy website supplied by CHAPS, e.g. with the Pricing Assistant application or eShop, and therefore it represents the cornerstone of Internet communication of Czech railways towards its customers.
Product Connection finder was developed exclusively to order according to the specifics of the particular implementation. It is not provided by ordinary users or not provided as demo version.
